It certainly is a lot of work being unemployed. Running around, going to meetings, attending seminars, finding places to apply, fixing résumés, tailoring cover letters. Plus all the other stuff I was doing, like drawing comics, working on the website, answering email, taking pictures of Doomie around Seattle, exercising. I’m lucky that I don’t have to worry about cooking for myself. Very Lucky.
I got to sleep in today. That was nice. Although I was pretty tired yesterday after my morning work-out and a bike ride from North Seattle Community College to Capitol Hill. I ended up going to bed before 10pm! Well, probably a little after that because I stayed up and read until my eyes couldn’t stay open any longer.
In any case, I hope all this work pays off soon. I hope to get back to a regular schedule and build up a buffer with the comics so that I don’t have to worry about getting each one done right before I post it. Keep your fingers crossed for me that my plans will come through.
